Education and Career Highlights:
- Graduated from the Southern Fujian Buddhist Institute in China, and was a research fellow at the Wuchang Buddhist Institute.
- In 1922, he entered private school in Yueqing for his early education.
- In 1924, he took tonsure under Master Baiyun of Huangtang Shouchang Temple and was given the Dharma name Mocheng and courtesy name Shouzhi.
- In 1925, he served as the retreat attendant for Master Zhifeng of Puju Temple in Yongjia, Wenzhou. Master Zhifeng taught him classical Chinese literature, poems, and essential Buddhist teachings such as "The Essential Mind" and "The Song of Enlightenment" by Yongjia.
- In 1926, he followed Master Baiyun to Jingzong Temple in Meixu, Siming to study sutra chanting and rituals for one year.
- In 1928, he received full ordination from the esteemed Master Diyan of Tiantai and extensively studied various Buddhist practices.
- In 1933, he was appointed as the attendant and record keeper for Master Taixu, and later accompanied Master Taixu on teaching tours to Hong Kong and Macau, becoming one of Master Taixu's outstanding students.
- In 1939, he edited the "Voice of Awakening" magazine in Hong Kong (Macau).
- In 1951, he founded the "Endless Lamp" magazine.
- In 1953, he served as the Dean of Studies at Qixia Buddhist Institute.
- In 1954, in Siam (Thailand), presided over the consecration ceremony of Master Taixu's relic stupa and enshrined the relics. During this period, he also held a personal calligraphy and painting exhibition.
- In May 4, 1954, appointed as a tutor and lecturer in Buddhism at Bodhi Institute, and compiled the three-volume 'Junior High School Buddhism Textbook' as teaching material.
- In February 1955, raised funds for the Buddhist Higher Education Scholarship Committee. Together with Mr. Wang, he went to Singapore to hold a calligraphy and painting exhibition and published the second volume of 'Venerable Zhu Mo's Calligraphy and Painting Collection,' raising more than 13,000 yuan. After deducting expenses for mounting the paintings, half of the remaining funds were allocated to the Buddhist Higher Education Scholarship Committee, and the other half was used to print the 'Deng Society Series' and distribute them. A Scholarship Committee was established in Penang, and he was elected as the director.
- In April 19, 1959, unanimously elected as the first president of the Malaysian Buddhist Association.
- In July 1962, initiated the establishment of the Sanhui Lecture Hall with his disciples, and the hall was established in 1965.
- In 1963, initiated the purchase of land on Jalan Masjid Negeri to build the Buddhist Association building with Master Bendao, Master Zhen Guo, Master Jin Xing, Master Jin Ming, and 13 others.
- In 1969, the Malaysian Buddhist Institute was established, and in 1970, he became its first principal.
- In March 23, 1990, entered a three-year retreat for further study.
- In 1996, his handwritten copy of the 'Prajnaparamita Heart Sutra' was collected by the National Palace Museum in Taipei.
- In 1997, resigned as the abbot of Sanhui Lecture Hall.
- In 1998, awarded the DMPN title, a high-ranking Datukship honor, by the Penang Governor.
- In February 4, 2002, passed away at the age of 90, having been a monk for 77 years.
Publications: 24 volumes of ‘Gallery Collections of Zhuan Xiang’ and a collection of paintings and calligraphy.
